The cyclist and his pokemon reach the top of the hill, although one is clearly faster and less tired than the other.

Ankaa lets out a little trill, fluffing out her feathers as if quite pleased that they had won the unofficial race and she nudges her face into her trainers outstretched hand for a victory pet. “One day I’ll get a pair of wings,” Angelo muses, his tone light and not at all threatening despite the warning tumbling from his lips. “Then you’ll be sorry.” The Togekiss floats away with a chirp that he decides is a pity laugh.

For now though, Angelo had to make do with his beautiful, reliable bicycle. They push off again, Ankaa swiftly swerving over a Ledian that cuts in front of her, elegantly fluttering over without a disturbance to the parcels on her back.

They’re rolling down a slope next, Angelo picking up speed enough to keep pace with Ankaa as she floats happily by his side this time. He takes a moment to rest and let gravity do all the work, wheels rolling him onwards.

Thankfully he’s got decent reaction times, a Krokorok bounding out of a bush in front of them near the base of the slope, looking very much like it wanted to pick a fight or scavenge the parcels on their backs. “Get it out of the way,” Angelo tells the Togekiss as he puts on the brakes, watching as she pulls ahead of him and with a single, graceful flap of her wings, sends an AIR SLASH towards the waiting troublemaker.

The Krokorok is sent flying backwards from a gust of wind as Ankaa flutters higher, out of the way of its reach and carrying on her merry way. Angelo throws a pokeball at the downed, stunned pokemon as he cycles by.
